PAST ACTIVITIES

European Meetings "Equality & Freedom", Loire Valley, France - Organised by Europe en Berry Touraine

European meetings in Lockes in the center of France (Loire Valley) from July 11 to 15, including citizens from all over Europe. 250 guests from all EU countries and from Russia attended the event. On 12th of July it was the 15th anniversary of the enlargement of the EU to countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the values of Equality and Freedom were discussed. During the 13th of July the European Village took place at Buzançais and each country  displayed their culture, their crafts, their folklore/customs and present their local dishes from all over Europe. At 10 pm, participants celebrated the 10th anniversary of "Europe en Berry Touraine". Last but not least, on 14th of July, guests from all Europe took part in the “Fête Nationale” - France’s National Day. At Loches, flags of all the countries that compose the EU were laid alongside the flag of France.
